Delaware insurance licensing and regulatory records
The Delaware Department of Insurance administers insurance licensing and oversight. Insurers, agencies and other business entities, individual producers, adjusters, surplus-lines authority, insurer appointments, examinations, and enforcement records are different source populations.
Authorized-company records
The Department’s active-company page says this Excel list is updated monthly. Its October 1, 2026 workbook contains 2,279 active company-type rows across 26 source classes and 2,274 distinct SBS company identifiers; five identifiers repeat in multiple workbook rows and are retained in the evidence packet. Source-native examples include 937 Property Casualty rows, 444 Life And Health rows, 38 Domestic Surplus Lines Company rows, 117 Risk Retention Group rows, and 3 Captive Insurer rows. The workbook also contains non-insurer organizations such as TPAs, PBMs, rating organizations, and reinsurers; they are not collapsed into an insurer census. Producer, agency, adjuster, and appointment records
The Department directs public license-status checks to the NAIC State Based Systems lookup and offers a report generator to request/download licensee lists. The external report generator did not yield a dated export in this acquisition pass. Current producer person rows, agency/business-entity rows, adjusters, surplus-lines brokers, and appointments are therefore NOT_ACQUIRED. An appointment is a relationship, not another licensee. Examinations, orders, and complaints
The Department separately publishes company enforcement actions and fines. Current parsed action rows and a dated complaint extract were not acquired.
